Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. (Jacksonville, Fla.) has opened the doors to its newly remodeled store in Apopka, Fla., in Errol Plaza. The store’s transformation represents a new format for the company which includes a farmer’s market at the store’s entrance, a new deli and expanded prepared foods section.

“We are excited to deliver on our promise of providing our guests with a fresh, new shopping experience that is fun and imaginative,” says Dan Lafever, Winn-Dixie regional vp. “This store serves as a one-stop grocery destination catering to the needs, tastes and preferences of the surrounding community.”

The store features a store entrance with outdoor market; wood-burning rotisserie and carving station in the deli department; remodeled and expanded pharmacy with wellness center; upgraded floral and bakery departments; and new Wi-Fi Internet café sitting area with complimentary coffee. Design details include hardwood flooring in the produce, deli and bakery departments, highly polished concrete floors in other areas of the store, modern lighting and brighter, more colorful décor.

“With an enhanced product selection and expanded departments, guests will enjoy a fresh and local shopping experience every time they visit our store,” says Tom Seay, store director.
