Winning Combination

Sprint’s new local company (Overland Park, Kan.) has hired retail design and strategy agency Winntech (Kansas City, Kan.) to help design and launch the new company™s retail stores. Through the partnership, Winntech will help develop an aggressive strategy to deploy “lifestyle enhancement” retail stores for Sprint.

“We are committed to offering our customers a simple, fun way to see and use our portfolio of products and services,” said Harry Campbell, president of Sprint Consumer Markets. “This new look will help differentiate Sprint’s new local company from other telecom companies.”

Sprint Nextel’s local division serves approximately 7.4 million access lines in 18 states. It offers a range of wireless and wireline communications services for consumer, business and government customers, including two wireless networks for mobile data services; instant national and international walkie-talkie capabilities; and a global Tier 1 Internet backbone.

“We look forward to working with Sprint’s new local company as we create customer-friendly retail locations that will demonstrate the ease of shopping for communications services,” said Winntech founder and ceo Barrett Prelogar. “We will be crafting a retail experience that offers customers a veritable how-to guide for improving their personal and professional lives through the use of practical technologies available from Sprint’s new local company.”
