Wired for Growth

Circuit City Stores Inc. (Richmond, Va.) has hired Millennium Retail Partners LLC to serve as its exclusive national real estate agent as the electronics retailer continues its aggressive store-revitalization program.

Millennium will augment Circuit City's in-house real estate team to coordinate the national relocation program that, based on real estate availability, includes a target of 50 stores in 2004 and at least an equivalent number each year until the store revitalization is complete. Millennium will work with the retailer's local brokers in the purchase and lease of properties that are designed to provide customers with the most contemporary shopping experience in convenient shopping locations.

Millennium has offices in Atlanta, Miami, New Orleans and Richmond, and provides real estate services primarily to retail clients. Circuit City currently operates 611 Circuit City Superstores and 15 mall-based Circuit City Express stores in 159 markets.
