Zara, H&M Open in New Zealand

Shoppers in New Zealand got the chance to visit Zara (Arteixo, Spain) and H&M (Stockholm) for the first time, as both retailers opened their first-ever flagships in the country recently.

New Zealand is the 93rd market for Zara, which opened a one-story store in the Auckland suburb of Mount Wellington last week. While the company hired staff to help it understand the New Zealand market, the store design is very similar to other Zara stores, with tiled floor and white-washed walls. The company did design some products exclusively for the New Zealand market, reports the Otago Daily Times.

H&M launched the previous week in the same area as Zara with a two-storied, 24,000-square-foot store. The store is also designed in the same manner as most other H&M stores, reports The New Zealand Herald.
