Aldi U.S. Names New Ceo

Aldi U.S. has announced that Jason Hart, currently co-president, will assume the role of U.S. ceo next April. Hart’s fellow co-presidents, Chuck Youngstrom and David Behm, will continue in their existing roles. The structural adjustment to Aldi’s senior leadership organization is part of the company’s aggressive growth plan. Aldi will add 650 new U.S. stores (including an expansion into the Southern California market) by 2018, bringing its total store count to 2000 units.

Hart, according to Supermarket News, has spent his entire professional career at Aldi, beginning as a management trainee in 1993.
