Amazon Opening Second Physical Bookstore

Amazon.com Inc. (Seattle) has announced plans to open its second brick-and mortar bookstore. The store is slated to open this summer at the Westfield UTC Mall in San Diego.

According to The San Diego Union-Tribune, the San Diego store will likely be modeled after the previous Seattle location, which sells a limited number of Amazon’s best-reviewed titles. The Seattle location also shows off brand hardware including the Kindle, Fire TV, Fire tablets and the Echo.

The San Diego store will be located across from the Apple (Cupertino, Calif.) store and adjacent to the Tesla (Palo Alto, Calif.) store in the UTC Mall.
