American Eagle Targets Japanese Market

American Eagle Outfitters Inc. (Pittsburgh) plans to open three stores in Tokyo this year, reports Women’s Wear Daily.

Its first 12,450-square-foot, two-story location is expected to open April 18. The following day, a second 8540-square-foot store is planned to open in a shopping center on an island in Tokyo Bay, while a third location will be in northwest Tokyo in December.

American Eagle Outfitters operates about 929 American Eagle stores, 148 Aerie stores and nine 77kids stores.
