Bealls Announces New Store Concept

Bealls Inc. (Bradenton, Fla.) has announced it will launch a new store concept called Bunulu this fall.

The Florida-based department store chain is targeting the affluent customer living the coastal lifestyle with active and casual clothes for both men and women, footwear, and accessories that are designed to be worn beachside, according to the Bradenton Herald.

Plans are in the works for three to five initial stores, but the locations have not yet been disclosed.

The company says Bunulu is an Aboriginie name that means “place of water.” The store’s tagline is “Land, Water and Style.”

Bealls Inc. operates more than 500 Bealls Department Stores and Bealls Outlet Stores throughout the U.S.
