Best Buy Chief: More In-Store Shops

Best Buy (Richfield, Minn.) ceo Hubert Joly says that it is “highly probable” the electronics chain will create more “stores-within-stores” by granting additional floor space to manufacturers. Best Buy cited recent success with Samsung Electronics after its roll-out of 1,400 Samsung Experience shops and with Windows, after the launch of 600 Windows in-store shops, according to Fortune.

Joly told shareholders at its annual meeting last week that Best Buy has been approached by several manufacturers looking to forge similar partnerships with the chain. “The customer reaction has been very positive,” Joly added.
