Bobbi Brown Blushes At Barneys

Bobbi Brown makeup found its way into high-end urban retail recently. Barneys, New York opened a 400-square-foot makeup vendor shop in the beauty section of its Madison Avenue flagship.

The boutique features hand-rubbed mirrors with a matte, silver finish and pale wood cases. One wall houses Bobbi Brown's ColorOptions collection, while an interior-illuminated case displays Brown's wide assortment of brushes.

Carol Pennelli, senior vp of sales, education and global artistry for Bobbi Brown, said the company's goal is to rank number one in the store's beauty department within the first year. Sources say achieving the top rank at the flagship would require approximately $2 million in retail sales.
