Canada’s leading independent footwear chain leverages innovative technology to enhance the in-store customer experience

Montreal, April 22, 2019 – iGotcha Media, a digital interactive studio specialized in building memorable screen-based customer experiences, today announced that Browns Shoes (Browns), Canada’s leading independent footwear chain, has installed its 25th iGotcha Media video wall at its Carrefour Laval store location in Quebec.

iGotcha Media videowalls offer exceptional immersive customer experiences and provide retailers with unparalleled promotional and advertising platforms.

For example, Browns’ Spring 2019 fashion campaign was shot on location in Rio de Janeiro. Showcasing the season’s new arrivals in this exotic location, videos capture the passion, culture and diversity of Brazil’s most glamorous city.

Browns is currently using iGotcha Media solutions in 21 locations (some stores have multiple video walls), including Quartier DIX30 in Brossard, Quebec; Vaughan Mills in Vaughan, Ontario and CF Pacific Centre in Vancouver, BC.

iGotcha Media’s solutions integrate hardware (monitors, PCs, custom-made mounts and stands) and proprietary content management software that allows clients to manage content quickly and easily from any location.

Most Browns locations feature a 2×2 video wall, comprising four 55-inch high-definition monitors. Some stores have ultra stretch 98-inch screens and the company’s Montreal headquarters is home to a 5×1 video wall featuring five 55-inch high definition monitors.

Additional applications, tailor-made for Browns by iGotcha Media, include: 1) the ‘Endless Aisle Interactive Touch-Screen’, which helps shoppers browse by providing easy access to footwear in all colors and sizes, and 2) experiential games for children, which keep youngsters engaged and give parents a moment to focus on shopping.

“We’ve been working with iGotcha Media since 2015,” says Eric Ouaknine, Director of Retail Experience, Browns. “As part of our commitment to delivering an exceptional in-store experience, we have made a significant investment in the integration of new technologies. iGotcha Media has tailored applications for our stores that provide impressive platforms to showcase the fantastic work done by our creative team. By merging the energy and excitement of our campaigns with the spectacular size, sharp resolution and vivid colors of these video walls, we are creating powerful connections with our valued customers.”

“The Browns creative team has developed amazing campaigns,” says Greg Adelstein, President, iGotcha Media. “Rich with color and dynamic energy, these videos deserve to be showcased on the best video platforms available. Through our tailor-made integrations, we help Browns connect with their customers in a very personal, direct and sensory manner. We are very proud to count Browns as a long-standing client and look forward to continuing to grow together season after season.”
