Burger King Heads Back to France

Burger King (Miami) is pairing with Autogrill (Novara, Italy) to reintroduce its Whopper sandwich to France after a 15-year hiatus. Under a new agreement, Burger King restaurants will be opened in French travel outlets, such as the Marseille Airport and the Reims Champagne motorway service area.

“Bringing the Burger King to a market like France renews a consolidated partnership, which we now intend to strengthen in Europe as well,” says Roberto Colombo, Autogrill’s coo of European countries. The companies are also planning to develop new Burger King locations in Switzerland, Poland, Italy, the Czech Republic, Germany and the Netherlands.

Autogrill currently operates 140 Burger King restaurants around the world.
