California Pizza Kitchen Launches Flagship

California Pizza Kitchen (Los Angeles) recently opened a new 5390-square-foot flagship in Sunrise, Fla. The restaurant features a 1000-square-foot wraparound patio with outdoor couch and lounge seating. Seating inside the new space is flexible and covers a family-style table that seats 16, bar and outdoor terrace. The hearth is a focal point, allowing customers to interact with chefs who stretch and toss pizza dough.

In addition, unfinished, reclaimed wood from old barn timbers flanks the bar, while walls and tables are made of salvaged white oak with natural knot holes and variations.

“The reclaimed wood offers a casual, but refined feel,” noted California Pizza Kitchen ceo G.J. Hart. “Very warm in color.”

The new flagship is the company’s seventh full-service restaurant in Florida.
