Chanel Expands Orlando Store

Chanel (Paris) recently expanded its Orlando, Fla. location, more than doubling the store’s size from 2000 square feet to 5300 square feet. The store reopened May 21, offering ready-to-wear apparel, costume jewelry, small leather goods and a special watch section.

Designed by Peter Marino, the store is located in The Mall at Millenia, and its interior combines the motifs of Coco Chanel’s apartment and the local area’s “resort-flavor,” according to Women’s Wear Daily.

The expansion was sparked by the market growth Orlando has experienced since the store originally opened in 2002. While much of that growth has been attributed to tourism, according to WWD, the company anticipates that visits from local clientele will increase as they become familiar with Chanel’s complete line.
