Children’s Place Coo Resigns … and More Industry News

MANAGEMENT CHANGES
Eric Bauer, formerly coo of The Children’s Place Retail Stores Inc. (Secaucus, N.J.), has left the company after one year in the position, according to the Associated Press. In his absence, ceo Jane Elfers will oversee operations.

Berry Kock, formerly of Philips LightLabs in The Netherlands, is joining Nualight (Cork, Ireland) as chief technical officer. Kock specializes in LEDs for food retail.

Big Red Rooster (Columbus, Ohio) has added four new employees, including Nicholas Atherton (AutoCAD technician, Phoenix), Robert Chapman (project manager, Phoenix), Derek Seiling (project manager, Atlanta) and Alexander Triplet (architecture CAD technician, Phoenix).

MBH Architects (Alameda, Calif.) has named Renée Charland director of human resources. Charland has 20 years of experience in her field, including 12 years with architecture and engineering firms.

STORE OPENING
Lighting and home decor retailer Rejuvenation (Portland, Ore.) opened its fourth store in Berkeley, Calif., the San Francisco Chronicle reports. The 5600-square-foot space organizes light fixtures by era and encourages shoppers to test light fixtures and shades together before placing a customer order.

BUSINESS BRIEFS
Maya Romanoff (Skokie, Ill.) is partnering with Culture + Commerce (New York), a design management agency, to license its surfacing materials internationally.

Centiva has redesigned its website, centiva.com, to include the four-channel C•Media platform, which offers videos about the company’s events, design and core values, along with links to its social media pages.

Frank Mayer & Associates Inc. (Grafton, Wis.) developed a line of lens displays in partnership with photochromic lens manufacturer Transitions Optical (Pinellas Park, Fla.). The fixtures include UV-LED demonstrator and a glare demonstrator to show how the lenses adapt to variable light.

YCD Multimedia (New York) is pairing with Elo Touch Solutions (Menlo Park, Calif.) to launch a line of interactive digital signs incorporating YCD’s digital media software products.
