Christmas Tree Shops Launches Liquidation Sales

Liquidation sales have commenced across all remaining Christmas Tree Shops (Middleborough, Mass.) locations nationwide. The liquidation process is being managed by Hilco Merchant Resources.

The specialty retailer – which sells holiday merchandise, along with home decor, furniture, gifts and other items – filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in early May, at which time it announced it would close 10 stores. But it has since decided to shutter the business entirely, including 72 remaining stores in 20 states, mostly in the Northeast U.S. (Click here for a full list of stores being closed.)

Hilco did not detail a specific timetable for the sales and their conclusion. The sale begins at 50 percent off for most goods, and store fixtures, furnishing and equipment are also available for purchase.
