Creative Director Leaves Roberto Cavalli

Roberto Cavalli (Florence, Italy) announced that it is reorganizing its staffing, which includes the departure of its creative director Peter Dundas, who worked with the company for two years.

The company’s ceo, Gian Giacomo Ferraris, has been seeking to trim operating costs. According to The Wall Street Journal, Ferraris plans to cut 200 jobs, centralize the company’s administration in Florence, Italy, close unprofitable stores and relocate or remodel others in order to do so.

“This is a comprehensive restructuring plan,” Ferraris said. The goal of the plan, he said, is to strengthen — rather than grow — the company.
