MANAGEMENT CHANGES
CVS Caremark Corp. (CVS, Woonsocket, R.I.) has appointed its two highest-ranking retail executives, Mike Bloom, executive vp, merchandising and supply chain, and Scott Baker, executive vp, internal operations and real estate, to manage its retail business as the company resumes its search for a new president of the division. Last month, a Delaware judge blocked the company's attempt to hire Hank Mullany as president of the company's retail operations after Walmart Stores Inc. filed a lawsuit that alleged Mullany's non- competition agreement prohibits him from working for CVS.
The Yankee Candle Co. (South Deerfield, Mass.) has named John Fontana as president of the international division and promoted Hope Margala Klein to senior vp, brand design and innovation.
Griplock Systems (Carpinteria, Calif., designer and manufacturer of adjustable cable suspensions systems) has named Stan Pfeifer head of business development and product strategy for the retail display and art/museum markets. Pfeifer’s previous experience includes more than 10 years in sales with Arakawa Hanging Systems.
