Dick’s Sporting Goods (Pittsburgh) is launching True Runner, a specialty sports-apparel store, with footwear and running apparel, equipment and accessories. The first True Runner store will open this summer in Pittsburgh.

Joe Schmidt, the company’s president and coo, explained, “In our continued efforts to explore new ways to serve athletes and build upon Dick's Sporting Goods already deep commitment to the sport in Pittsburgh, we believe that True Runner will provide a top-of-the-line experience to those who enjoy the sport.”

The store is designed as a venue for runners by runners, and will host training runs and community events.
