Disc Jockey Spins a New Deal

Trans World Entertainment Corp. (Albany, N.Y.) has announced plans to purchase the 113-store Disc Jockey Music Stores chain (Strawberries Music, Camelot and Coconuts Music and Movies) from Wax Works Inc. (Owensboro, Ky.).

Adding to its 939 current stores, Trans World will acquire outlets in 34 states, including four new Disc Jockey stores set to open in the near future. The world's largest Disc Jockey store is located in the headquarters town of Owensboro, which is also the site of Kentucky Wesleyan College.
