DSW to Open 19 Stores

DSW Inc. (Columbus, Ohio) has announced it will open 19 new stores throughout the U.S. this spring. Twelve of those stores will open in new markets.

The new stores will be located in Tyler, Texas; Sarasota, Fla.; Collegeville, Pa.; York, Pa.; Mequon, Wis.; Racine, Wis.; Northbrook, Ill.; Rockford, Ill.; Millbury, Mass.; Ithaca, N.Y.; Vestal, N.Y.; West Babylon, N.Y.; Bellingham, Wash.; Kennewick, Wash.; Alexandria, Va.; Bakersfield, Calif.; Jeffersonville, Ohio; Flint, Mich. and Chicago.

The national footwear retailer will continue to grow throughout 2015, with plans to open 35 stores this year, reports Broadway World.

“We are pleased to grow our footprint in cities DSW already calls home, while also expanding to new areas of the country. Opening 19 stores this season and more throughout 2015 is absolutely thrilling for our brand,” said Carrie McDermott, executive vp and ceo of DSW.
