Easy Store Navigation Tops Wish List for Gen Z Shoppers

New research shows that retail design and VM pros are the lynchpins for driving Generation Z to physical stores, with 37 percent of younger shoppers naming easy store navigation as the thing they want most in brick-and-mortar.

That’s a finding from a PWC survey cited by Vogue Business, who explores what Gen Z shoppers expect to find in physical retail spaces.

A separate survey found that 81 percent of Gen Z prefers to shop in stores, and more than half do so because it provides an escape from the digital world on which they relied so heavily during the pandemic.

The article explains: “That desire [to disconnect] means retailers are going to have to offer a more well-rounded experience in store, focusing on creating the feeling of community while offering a selection of products that appeal to Gen Z tastes. The isolation created by the pandemic lockdowns only reinforces the need to attract these shoppers with a new approach.”
