Electric Car Maker Polestar Eyes 38 Physical Locations in U.S. by 2023

Electric vehicle manufacturer Polestar (Gothenburg, Sweden) has opened a new retail location in Corte Madera, CA where it will offer sales, service and test drives of its cars.

The brand, which calls its physical locations Polestar Spaces, currently operates in 15 states. The company is aiming to grow its footprint to a total of 38 retail locations across the country by the end of 2022.

Polestar also offers a home delivery and service program, allowing customers living within 150 miles of a Polestar Space to have their vehicle retrieved and returned for servicing free of charge.

Polestar was founded by Volvo Cars and Geely Holding in 2017. It currently offers its Polestar 1 electric performance hybrid GT and the Polestar 2 electric performance fastback in Europe, North America, China and Asia Pacific. The company plans to be present in 30 global markets by 2023.

In the next three years, Polestar plans to launch one new electric vehicle per year, starting with Polestar 3 in 2022, the company’s first electric performance SUV. Polestar 4 is expected to follow in 2023, a smaller electric performance SUV coupe.
