Management Changes:

OK Works (Chicago, fixture manufacturer) has hired Mary Martel as sales director. Martel was previously the Midwest retail account executive for Moss Inc.

Chute Gerdeman Retail (Columbus, Ohio, design firm) has hired David Birnbaum, Erika Buchholz and Julianne Wallace as members of its design development team. Connie Holland has been named human resources coordinator.

Gerflor (Atlanta designer and manufacturer of vinyl resilient flooring) has appointed Joey Matula as regional vp for the company’s eastern division and Randy Timms as regional vp for the central division.

Mothers Work Inc. (Philadelphia maternity apparel retailer) has promoted Lisa Hendrickson to chief merchandising officer.

Applied Coatings Group (Rochester, N.Y., designer of decorative glass) has appointed Scott Stertmeyer to national sales manager for the Color Mirage product line.

 

Business Briefs:

DriTac Adhesive Group (Rutherford, N.J., manufacturer of adhesives for wood flooring) has changed its name to DriTac Flooring Products LLC.

3 Degrees Creative LLC (Norwood, Ohio, design firm) has completed the exterior and interior design of the Grant County Oil Co.’s Marathon franchise store in Crittenden, Ky. The remodel project included a Route 66 road trip theme and a new logo design.

Alcan Composites USA Inc. – ALUCOBOND (Mooresville, N.C., manufacturer of substrates for architectural and graphic display) has donated approximately 100 sheets of the company’s Dibond graphic display board to New Orleans’ Canal Street Initiative, a project to cover unused storefronts with large-format graphics.

Bandit Lites (Knoxville, Tenn., entertainment lighting provider) has donated $250,000 in equipment to the University of Tennessee’s Thompson-Boling Arena renovation, including a new scoreboard and a touchscreen system to control lighting.

 

Award:

GFX Intl. Inc. (Grayslake, Ill., design and production firm) has been awarded an honorable mention in the Convenience Store News Store Design Competition for its remodel of a Kum & Go store in Polk City, Iowa.
