Management Changes:

The Dress Barn Inc. (Suffern, N.Y., women's clothing retailer) has appointed Vivian Behrens as senior vp of marketing. Behrens is responsible for all marketing, brand development, advertising and sales promotion. She previously was vp of marketing and general manger for Boom LLC, a cosmetics and fragrances distributor.

WalkerGroup/CNI (New York design firm) has promoted Randall Ng to president. Ng joined the firm in 1986 and was named coo in 2001. He replaces Mark Pucci, former chairman and ceo. Ng is responsible for the operations and management of the firm and will also oversee marketing and business development.

The Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA, lighting trade association) has announced the following appointments: John Reid, president; Ronnie Farrar, senior vp; John Selander and Boyd Corbett, board members; and Jean Black and Earl Print, directors.

Emick Howard & Seibert Inc. (Seattle design firm) has added architect Russell Thomas to its design staff. Thomas is responsible for providing 3D CAD rendering, design, construction documentation and project management services.

Street-Works LLC (New York development and consulting group) has named the following partners: Andy Attinson, Richard Heapes, Tim Mount, Ken Narva, Gregg Sanzari, Mark Schulman and Lucy Wildrick.

ExSel Exhibits Inc. (Niles, Ill., display and exhibit materials design, construction and servicing company) has hired Deborah Kerrigan as account executive, rental division, responsible for the Chicago area.

Pentagram (New York design firm) has named Lisa Strausfeld partner. Strausfeld joined the firm in January 2002 and specializes in digital information design projects.

CDI Group (New York retail strategy, branding and design consulting firm) has added Jim Foster as vp of business development. Foster previously was principal at jumpNY, a design firm.Mergers/Acquisitions:

The National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL, Paramus, N.J., printing trade association) and Research and Engineering Council of the Graphic Arts Industry Inc. (R&E Council, White Stone, Va., technical trade association) have merged. The new organization is called R&E Council of NAPL, and will run from NAPL's headquarters in Paramus, N.J.Relocations:
