Fossil's first retail store combines the hip nostalgia of its products with the look of a retro diner. Inspired by the store's corner exposure, retail architects Jon Greenberg & Associates, Southfield, MI, wrapped the storefront in honey-toned maple, trimmed showcase windows with stainless-steel mouldings and accent striping and sprinkled the store with nostalgic advertising images. Rounded fixtures combine stained maple, cherry and honey, and the cashwrap features custom laminate incorporating the Fossil logo. Suspended video monitors are housed in cabinets designed as retro TV sets and a neon illuminated Fossil clock pops from a custom mural of Chicago's metropolis.
