A Game-Changing Product Launch for Bushnell

LOMBARD, Ill. – April 21, 2015 – Bushnell Outdoor Products, an industry-leader in high-performance sports optics and outdoor accessories, needed an attention-getting floor stand fixture to merchandise their new wireless HD trail camera and related accessory items.

Bushnell turned to The Carlson Group for Development and Execution, including Retail Messaging, Conceptual Design, Design Intent, Engineering and Prototyping, as well as Program Planning, Manufacturing, Installation, Warehousing and Fulfillment.

TCG’s solution was an interactive merchandising unit incorporating a digital touchscreen to attract and inform shoppers, coupled with a bold color scheme and graphics that call attention to the product and invite shoppers to learn more. Once engaged, shoppers can access video demonstrations as well as AT&T 3G data map coverage and data pricing information.

Initial concepts were rendered in-store. Flexibility was key; the display is modular to allow it to work as an end cap, counter unit, or freestanding presentation.

Scott Davenport, TCG Director of Sales and Strategic Partnerships, says, “The Bushnell initiative was a great opportunity to bring some of the most up-to-date interactive technology into play, and provide our client with the kind of retail design and activation required to launch such a game-changing product.”
