Gap Expands to Brazil

Gap Inc. (San Francisco) plans to open its first stand-alone stores in Brazil. The company signed an agreement with Tudo Bom Comércio Ltda. and expects to open the first retail locations in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janerio in fall 2013.

The company plans to expand its store base in the country during the next five years. “Brazil is a critical next step in our global expansion strategy and we are excited to introduce our store experience to customers,” says Stefan Laban, managing director of strategic alliances for Gap Inc.

Gap franchise stores can be found in 40 markets throughout Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Australia.
