Glossier Names First Chief Marketing Officer

Ali Weiss, SVP of marketing, for Glossier has been named the brand’s first Chief Marketing Officer, according to Adweek. The beauty brand is reportedly recognized by two out of five millennial women and is in the top 10 most-mentioned brands on Tik Tok, according to Weiss.

“Consumer voice is stronger than brand voice, so our community is what ultimately defines us,” she said. “Each experience that we put forward is centered on the power of the individual and facilitating conversation.”

Weiss joined Glossier as director of marketing and was promoted to SVP, marketing, in 2017. In her new role, she’ll focus on reaching new audience segments with a strategy based on storytelling.
