Gucci Parent Eyes 4 Cities for New Stores

Kering, the parent company of Gucci (Florence, Italy), is hinting at more stores for its group of luxury brands, which shrugged off inflation in fiscal 4Q and comfortably beat analysts’ sales forecasts, Reuters reports.

Demand in the luxury goods sector is robust, the article says, with sales for most groups exceeding pre-pandemic levels. Accordingly, Kering CEO Francois-Henri Pinault says he’ll consider expanding his company’s store footprint to cities such as Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville and Austin.
