Taco Bell (Irvine, Calif.) announced that it will be introducing four new, more upscale store design concepts this summer that will aim at seeing whether the new designs can encourage more traffic, especially at dinnertime.
The store designs will include sleek, modern group seating, exposed wooden beams and trendy light fixtures, reports USA Today. The chain also foresees customizing the stores to their community; for instance, one test store will feature a large patio with cushioned furniture that allows customers to dine “al fresco.” The hope is that customers will be more inclined to dine in at the chain.
The new store designs will debut this summer in eight stores throughout Orange County, Calif., and will be expanded into four additional stores later this year. The goal is that the designs will be successful enough to roll out into all stores.
