Hallmark.com Launches Paper Card Service

Hallmark.com launched its customized paper card service, targeting women ages 25 to 45. The greetings and gifts site now offers online customers more than 100 card designs, which they can customize with a choice of internal messages, colors and personal closings. Hallmark.com prints, stamps, hand-addresses and mails the cards throughout the U.S.

Hallmark.com began its paper card service behind competitors AmericanGreetings.com and Bluemountainarts.com. AmericanGreetings.com launched its customized card service in May and offers 13,000 card designs. Plus, Hallmark.com is a distant follower of AmericanGreetings.com in visitor traffic. In October, the sites received 2.64 million and 8.32 million hits, respectively. Despite the fierce competition, Hallmark.com remains focused and unfazed. According to the Greeting Card Association, Christmas cards account for one-fourth of all seasonal greeting cards sent each year.
