Christian Lacroix’s store in The Forum Shops at Caesars in Las Vegas is the designer’s first in the U.S. The space, a collaboration of The Pavlik Design Team (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), The Kreo Gallery (Paris) and Lacroix himself, combines contemporary design and Baroque style – a reflection of Lacroix’s “harmonious dissonance” design philosophy.
For example, the store’s modern minimalist metallic furniture is contrasted with hand-carved vitrines and baroque consoles created from an original 18th Century piece that Lacroix found in Arles, France. The space is also infused with recurring visual references from Lacroix’s couture creations, including the sun, the passionate heart and extensive use of the color red.
