hhgregg Plans 10 Stores Near Washington, D.C.

hhgregg (Indianapolis) plans to open 10 stores in suburban Washington, D.C., this fall. The new locales are part of the fast-growing consumer electronics chain’s previously announced plans to become a national chain over the next decade.

The new hhgregg stores will be in the following cities: Fairfax, Va.; Falls Church, Va.; Fredericksburg, Va.; Springfield, Va.; Sterling, Va.; Woodbridge, Va.; Frederick, Md.; Largo, Md.; Rockville, Md.; and Waldorf, Md. The retailer currently has 157 stores, and plans to more nearly quadruple that number to 600 by 2020.
