Victoria's Secret Direct, the catalog and e-commerce operation of the intimate apparel specialty retailer, announced the hiring of two Saks Inc. executives to high-level planning positions. Liz Tippens, formerly vp, divisional merchandise manager for Saks, Inc., has been appointed to the position of vp, merchandise manager; and Michael Molitor, formerly senior vp, merchandise planning and allocation for Saks'Parisian division, has been named vp, merchandise planning and analysis.
Tippens will lead merchandising efforts for the swimwear, beauty, hosiery and bodywear collections and will report to executive vp and gmm Pia Ferrario. Molitor will have overall merchandise planning responsibility for the clothing, shoes and accessories areas, and will also lead the evolution of Victoria Secret Direct's planning processes and systems. He will report to vp and cfo Mike Mahler.
Prior to her Saks Inc. stint, Tippens was with GFT USA Corp. as corporate vp, strategic planning and operations for Calvin Klein Menswear. She also served as corporate vp for Edera, Inc. She has also been with Andrea Jovine and Neiman Marcus in various executive merchandising and marketing roles.
While at Saks, Molitor also served as senior vp, merchandise planning for Saks, Inc. He also worked with the May Department Stores Co. over a 12-year retail career.
