The Planning and Visual Education Partnership (PAVE) has scheduled two seminars featuring prominent panelists from retail design, store planning and visual merchandising to be held in conjunction with its annual gala and concurrent with the StoreXpo winter market.

The seminars will take place on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, in the Haft Auditorium at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. The first session, “Current Events in Retailing,” will run from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and feature panelists Christine Belich, Sony USA; Judy Bell, Target Corp.; Rick Burbee, Sears, Roebuck & Co.; Ignaz Gorischek, Neiman Marcus; Tony Mancini, Walt Disney Imagineering; and Suzanne Spooner, Nautica Retail USA.

The second session, “What Do Industry Employers Look for in Hiring New Talent?,” will run from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and will feature panelists Elle Chute, Chute Gerdeman; Dominick Segrete, TSR Consultants Inc.; Richard Stolls, Trim Corp. of America; and David Terveen, DK Display.

PAVE's annual gala will take place the evening of Dec. 4, 2003, at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers.

The StoreXpo trade show, produced by VM+SD magazine and sponsored by the National Association of Display Industries Inc. (NADI), will take place Dec. 5-7, 2003, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. For more information, log on to www.storexpo.info.
