Leggett & Platt, the consortium of manufacturing and supply companies – including 17 in its Store Fixtures Group – held Market Space Live! in San Antonio this past weekend. About 130 representatives of invited retail companies were given a chance to interact with one another and with L&P personnel, to hear about the plans and resources of the company, and to listen to Roger Blackwell, Ohio State University professor and president of his own consumer behavior consulting firm; and to Barry Asmus, senior economist of the National Center for Policy Analysis. L&P also produced a trade show floor featuring the products, designs and capabilities of its various fixturing companies. Among the Leggett & Platt executives to address the group were ceo Felix Wright and Bob Griffin, senior vp and president of the Fixture and Display Group. Also in attendance, in addition to the retailers, were securities analysts and other members of the financial community.
