Coach Inc. (New York) is expanding its retail stores into Brazil and Vietnam, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

The handbag and accessories brand has signed multiyear deals to enter both regions with plans to open stores within the next year.

In Brazil, Coach is partnering with Aste Group, which works with brands like The North Face and Kipling, to open freestanding units in local shopping centers. The first two locations are planned for São Paulo, with Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia also on the target list.

As part of its expansion strategy in Asia, Coach signed a deal in Vietnam with Luxasia Group, which will allow it to enter through the country’s department store channel. Boutiques in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi are expected by the end of 2011.

Coach operates stores throughout North America and in Japan, China, Hong Kong and Macau.
