JCPenney Names New Chairman

JCPenney Co. Inc. (Plano, Texas) named Thomas Engibous as chairman of its Board of Directors, effective Jan. 28, 2012. Engibous was named to the board in 1999 and has served as presiding director and lead independent director since 2008. He will assume the chairman's role from Myron E. (Mike) Ullman, III, JCPenney's former chief executive officer, who is stepping down as executive chairman.

Engibous’ career includes serving as president, ceo and chairman of Texas Instruments Inc.
