Jewelry Store Guard Fires at Robbery Suspects in California

Police say a security guard at a jewelry store in Fullerton, CA, shot at suspects who were attempting to rob the store.

The three suspects were wearing masks and are believed to have been armed, ABC7 reports. The incident happened Feb. 7 at Happy Jewelers.

No one was hit in the gunfire and no injuries were reported, according to the report.

The suspects fled, and the guard is working with police investigators, according to ABC7.

“I think that they paid their security guard to do what he did today and he thwarted three subjects from committing an armed robbery here at the jewelry store,” said Sgt. Ryan O’Neil of the Fullerton Police Department, according to KTLA-TV.
