Joe’s Crab Shack Rolls the Dice

Landry’s Restaurants Inc. (Houston), owner of Joe’s Crab Shack restaurants and other casual dining and entertainment brands, has announced that it will purchase the Golden Nugget Casino in downtown Las Vegas.

The hotel occupies over eight acres in downtown Las Vegas, with approximately 40,000 square feet of gaming area; three towers containing 1907 rooms; more than 1300 slot machines and 50 table games; a 400-seat showroom; and approximately 30,000 square feet of meeting and banquet facilities.

Landry’s, the country’s second-largest seafood casual-dining operator (behind the Red Lobster chain), operates more than 280 restaurants, also including Chart House, Saltgrass Steak House, the Rainforest Café, Charley’s Crab and Landry’s Seafood House.
