MANAGEMENT CHANGES

Covington, Ky.-based Architectural Group International (AGI) hired Allison Young to its staff. Young, a recent graduate of the University of Cincinnati, will work on entertainment projects throughout the world.

JCPenney Co. (Plano, Texas) named Kristen Blum executive vp and chief technology officer. Blum has more than 25 years of experience at leading consumer goods and retail companies, including PepsiCo, Abercrombie & Fitch and Apple Inc. She will report to chief operating officer Mike Kramer, and has responsibility for the company's jcp.com business and information technology systems.

Landor Associates (Cincinnati), a strategic brand consulting and design firm, promoted Mary Zalla to ceo, effective immediately. Zalla was previously president of the firm, a global role she was promoted into in August 2011.

Keith Knolmayer of Häfele America Co. (Archdale, N.C.) has been promoted to the newly created position of business development – glass business.

Milwaukee-based Prolitec Inc., a global provider of ambient scenting technology and services, appointed Marijn Kortekaas director, business development – Asia Pacific.

STORE OPENING

A newly relocated Sam's Club has opened in Baton Rouge, La., at 9598 Cortana Place. The 134,000-square-foot club is part of the Cortana Mall shopping area, approximately one mile south of its former location.

INDUSTRY NEWS

idX Corp. (St. Louis) is expanding its operations in London to support the company's growth in the European, Middle East and African markets. In addition to new, larger offices, idX has hired a director of European operations.

New York-based GH+A took home five awards at the Retail Design Institute’s International Store Design Award ceremony, held January 16, at the Times Center in New York. The firm’s winning projects included: Aéropostale: Special Award for Innovative Storefront; Bubble Tease: 1st Place in the Bar/Coffee Shop/ Counter Service Restaurant Category; ICE: 1st Place in the Service Retailer Category; Pusateri’s: 1st Place in the Specialty Food / Gourmet Grocer Category; and Wilde & Greene: 1st Place in the Sit-Down Restaurant Category.

Frank Mayer and Associates Inc. (Grafton, Wis.) unveiled a new look for its corporate identity, including a new corporate logo, redesigned company website and overall re-branding effort. The company website is at www.frankmayer.com.

Progressive AE (Grand Rapids, Mich.) has launched a new website, Momentum, to reach retailers on a national level.

Florence, Ala.-based flooring manufacturer Centiva donated products to Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to help rebuild seven homes in seven days in Joplin, Mo.
