Leggett & Platt & DisplayPlan

DisplayPlan Ltd. (Letchworth, Hertfordshire, U.K.), a British p-o-p company, has joined the Leggett & Platt umbrella. The Carthage, Mo.-based conglomerate will issue a formal statement later today.

DisplayPlan was established in 1983, and today bills itself as “one of the foremost design and production display companies in the United Kingdom.”

L&P is a 118-year-old international company that established a solid business in the p-o-p industry before expanding its store fixturing base, beginning in the 1990s, by acquiring a stable of manufacturers throughout North America. Today, its Fixtures & Display Group (based in Vernon Hills, Ill.) includes such acquisitions as AM Woodworks, Arkansas Wood Works, Dann Dee Display Fixtures, Edron, Excell, Genesis Store Fixtures, MET Displays, Rodgers Wade, Syndicate Systems, Tarrant Interiors, Toledo Store Fixtures and Wilson Display.
