LensCrafters in Macy’s Stores

Macy’s (Cincinnati) has signed an agreement with Luxottica Group S.p.A. (Milan) that will allow the chain to open LensCrafters locations in as many as 500 of its department stores.

The first in-store LensCrafters location is slated to open in April, with approximately 100 others opening by the end of 2016.

As a part of the agreement, the stores will carry Luxottica’s brands including Ray-Ban and Oakley, reports Women’s Wear Daily.

Macy’s already has an agreement with Luxottica’s Sunglass Hut that has allowed it to open approximately 670 Sunglass Hut shops within its stores. The addition of those stores allowed Macy’s to more than triple its amount of sunglass sales.
