Let Your Fingers do the Paying

Lowes Food Stores Inc. (Winston-Salem, N.C.) will begin offering biometric payments to its customers.

Working with BioPay LLC (Herndon, Va.), the Lowes program will allow shoppers to pay for purchases with the touch of a finger. Once enrolled in BioPay, and having their index fingers scanned along with a driver’s license or other ID that is entered into BioPay’s database, shoppers can pay by having their fingers read at any retailer in the United States that features BioPay.

Lowes Foods is a 108-store chain in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
