L.L.Bean to Open Columbus, Ohio, Store

L.L.Bean Inc. (Freeport, Maine) plans to open its first retail location in central Ohio later this summer. The company will open a temporary store in Easton Town Center in July, then will open a permanent location in time for the holiday shopping season, reports The Columbus Dispatch.

The retailer’s temporary space will encompass 4700 square feet, while the permanent location will be a 20,600-square-foot space, previously occupied by the Container Store. Customers will find the brand’s assortment of apparel and footwear, as well as outdoor lifestyle gear for hiking, fly-fishing, kayaking and camping.

The Columbus store will be the company’s 25th retail store outside Maine and is part of the company’s plans to increase its brick-and-mortar locations to at least 100 over the next five years.
