Lululemon Outfitting Decathletes

Lululemon Athletics Inc. (Vancouver, B.C.) will be providing the shirts and shorts for 173 bankers, traders and analysts running this weekend in the annual Wall Street Decathlon, supplanting Under Armor Inc. (Baltimore) as the event’s official supplier.

The Wall Street Journal reported that it’s part of an effort by the company – mostly associated with yoga wear for women – to break into a new market. The Journal reports that the company plans to open standalone men’s stores in 2016. It’s also moving beyond yoga into such sports as golf and running.

To that end, Lululemon recently supplied uniforms for the Olympic men’s beach volleyball team.
