Paris-based LVMH, the global luxury brand group, acquired Arnys, the made-to-measure menswear brand, which was founded by the Grimbert family in 1933. The brand is known for its French expertise in haute couture and made-to-measure tailoring for men, as well as its ready-to-wear line.

“This acquisition brings together two Maisons which, in their own respective ways, embody generations of excellence, savoir faire and creativity,” says Antoine Arnault, ceo of Berluti, one of LVMH’s luxury brands.

Artistic director Alessandro Sartori will lead the brand’s made-to-measure activities. Jean Grimbert, who along with Michel Grimbert mostly recently led Arnys, will oversee the continuation of Arnys’ expertise and the boutique at 14, rue de Sevres in Paris, which will become the flagship store for Berluti’s new activities.
