Macy’s (Cincinnati) named Patti Ongman executive vp and general merchandise manager for center core, overseeing the merchandising for handbags, fashion accessories, hosiery, watches, fashion jewelry and fine jewelry. Ongman has served as executive vp and general planning manager for cosmetics, fragrances and shoes since May 2009. She succeeds Richard Arnstein, who was recently named executive vp and gmm for men’s.
idX Corp. (St. Louis, Mo.) has hired Tom DeLaitsch as general manager of its Baltimore facility. In addition, the company named Gene Wilson, formerly vp of construction with Palladeo, as head of its new California office. Private sales e-tailer Beyond the Rack (Montreal) has appointed Jim Weinberg as vp and chief merchandising officer. He is responsible for expanding merchandising teams in both its Montreal and New York offices.

Printemps (Paris) plans to close its Madelios men’s emporium and regroup all its men’s offerings under one roof at the flagship Printemps de l’Homme store.
Seven Continents (Toronto) is partnering with the Fashion Design Council of Canada and designer Evan Biddell during VMSD’s International Retail Design Conference, October 13-15. Seven Continents will host the event’s welcome reception, where Evan’s collection will be presented. Afterwards, the showroom will be transformed into an on-site installation at LG Fashion Week Beauty by L’Oréal Paris in Toronto.
Callison Dubai has opened a new 1200-square-foot office in the Arenco Tower, about 12 miles south of the Dubai International Financial Center. The architecture firm operates offices in Seattle, Beijing, Dallas, Dubai, London, Los Angeles, Mexico City, New York and Shanghai.
