Sir Philip Green plans to open a Topshop (London) flagship in Chicago next year, according to Women’s Wear Daily. The Michigan Avenue store is expected to open in late spring.
Measuring 30,000 square feet, the Chicago store will carry a selection of Topshop and Topman lines, edited to the Windy City’s climate needs.
“We like big cities, big corners, big billboard shop frontage – and we like to be on the high street,” Green told WWD. “The location really appeals to us.”
The location marks the retailer’s second in the U.S. after debuting in New York’s SoHo neighborhood in 2009. WWD reports Green is also eyeing sites on the West Coast, including Las Vegas, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
